Classmate Animation Critique 2

The animation itself feels very expressive and gives Norman a flamboyant personality (even without facial expressions, which could have further emphasized this). There is a nice sense of anticipation before the walking starts, as well as that slow-in motion before Norman turns and goes back. The speed change creates a nice transition between the different sets of movement as well. On the other hand, there are some hard-to-notice issues with the movement of Norman’s body. It does not seem possible for a person to be able to lean backwards to the same degree as shown in the animation while on the balls of your feet. Also, during the leg kick as Norman turns back, his foot is at an impossible angle for such a motion. What little we can see of Norman’s legs as he runs back feels stiff and a little robotic.
