Since the hand is such an important part of the body and is used everyday, it made sense that a hand would make a perfect puppet. We decided to create a wooden anatomically correct hand because of the beauty and complexity of the human body, especially considering the dexterity of the hand. It can be gentle and precise, or brutal and careless; but the choice is up to the person. We have always valued the aesthetic properties of the hand and its direct usage and demonstration of the golden ratio. The bones in the hand are crafted delicately and while you cannot see actual bone structure in the piece, they were considered heavily before construction. There is also heavy relief work in the forearm and palm of the hand to symbolize the similarities between organic and inorganic. It also illustrates the eroding properties of inorganic destruction of organic life.
