September 2 Gallery Piece

The artist of this piece is Gioacchino Petronicce. The name of the artwork is Say Cheese, and the presentation was two minutes and forty one seconds long.

This work had a melancholic feel to it. The black and white photography style adds to this, as well as the mood in most of the pictures.

September 3 Gallery Piece

This piece is by artist Jordan Bruner. The title of the work is The Leaf Woman and the Centaur Episode 1, and it ran for three minutes and six seconds.

This animation makes me think of all the different creation myths the world has. It seems like the leaf woman is the force by which all the other beings come into the world.

September 4 Gallery Piece

The artists for this work are Cynthia Atkins and Nic Sebastian. The title is Family Therapy IV, and this piece runs for two minutes and eleven seconds.

The barren landscapes show the darker effects of life. To me the images and the poem represent the harsh things that can happen to people, whether it be physically, emotionally, or psychologically. The mostly lifeless areas depicted can be interpreted as the despair of having a part of you damaged.

September 5 Gallery Piece

The artist of this piece is Samantha Gurry. The run time was four minutes and twenty three seconds.

It was interesting to see her weave a story with a collage that had stop motion applied to it. The work felt adventurous to me with how she would use certain objects to draw your attention as she transitioned to the multiple locations she provided.
